Sunday Motivation

Don’t wait until January 1st to make your New Years resolution.

Don’t wait until next month to start the new project you’ve planned.

Don’t wait until next week to follow up on the idea you’ve had.

And don’t wait until tomorrow – Follow up on that things that you’ve always wanted to achieve.

If you have a dream that sparks your passion and fires up your soul – Do it now!  Life is for living!

The lion cubs.

Deep in the jungle,
Creeping through the woods,
Is the king of the lions
Searching for his cubs.

They went off to play,
But wondered way to far.
Now they are lost
And miss mums warm fur.

But these cubs are lucky,
As there dad is quite clever.
At tracking other animals
In all kinds of weather.

Soon the cubs are found
And carried back to camp,
Where they can snuggle up
Between mum and dad.

Flowing Words

  • WordPress Prompt was SHIVER = The word for me evokes coldness, darkness and frozen feelings, so I decided to break the ice with my: Positive Flowing Words.

SHINE bright, keep going tonight.

Let your HOPE glide, don’t let your dreams slide.

Let your IMAGINATION flow and your love will bloom like a rose.

Your VISIONS and your dreams will soar when watching the stars gleam.

And EVERLASTING love will always flys like a dove.

And your RADIANT light, will help your soul take flight.

Apologising for the tears i’ve cried,

For the hurt you have caused,
And the deep pain I feel inside.

For the agonising depression which has descended upon me,

for the hate I feel when someone mentions your name,

And the years it took to finaly feel free.

But when I open my eyes I realise it’s just a dream,

Because in your head you did nothing wrong.

And that apology from you I will never see.

Because lets face it – you are not that strong.

To admit the pain your lies caused.

An Actors Life

Snippets into an Actors life.

We wake up every morning with hope in our hearts that today will be that day. The day when that phone call from our agent arrives telling us we got the part. The one that we were hoping for, the one that we got down on our knees and prayed to whatever we believed in for. Sometimes that day does come. For the rest of us, well we will keep on going and hope that one day that elusive phone call arrives.

Positive Thinking

The 3 best pieces of advise I have been given or have heard are:

  • Never give up on your dreams.
  • Don’t look at how far you have to go, look at how far you have already come.
  • “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I’m Possible.” Audrey Hepburn.

My own advice that I have given to others and I would like to share with you is:

  • When looking back over your day – Even if the day’s been one of your darkest: Try and find one thing that has made you smile. It can be anything from a trip out, a meal you have eaten, a friend you have seen or a tv show that’s entertained you. Make a mental note of it, record it in a notepad, share it on one of your social media sites or on your blog.

I’m currently recording my personal progress through the Happy Days Challenge.

Nightmare: Improvised Poetry.

Nightmares Grip

The nightmare takes its grip on me.

Digging deep into my hopes and dreams.

The darkness engulfs everything  I want to be.

And leaves me shaking from my terrified screams.

I try and try to find my way out.

But there is no way to turn from the nightmares grip.

I try and try to scream and shout.

But I’m all alone on the nightmare ship.

I keep on thinking this nightmare can’t be real.

So I try and try to make it go.

But the icy grip leaves me just wanting to squeal.

And leaves me feeling so low.

Swirling around me the nightmare begins to feed on my soul.

Filling itself up on all that I have left.

Finally stopping, it lets me return home.

But it leaves me torn in two and completely bereft.

And as I begin to wake up from this dream state.

I look around at the beautiful daybreak.

And begin to feel the light rejuvenate.

My soul renews and begins to wake.

From the nightmare that was never real.

It was just a dream which had taken too much control.

But I’ve woken now and I’m ready to feel.

And I will not let it take its toll.

So I stand up straight.

And I stand up tall.

Letting the nightmare know that I won’t give into hate.

And I’m standing here, I will not fall.

If I always have love and hope

And I keep my dreams alive.

I know I can always cope.

And I know that I will survive!

Forbidden Love

This Forbidden love is so hard to give up.

How can I, when I loved you so much.

Nobody knows, what I’m going through.

Because our love was kept secret from those we knew.

And now you’ve gone I have nowhere to turn.

Because the love we had you allowed to burn.

And now I weep for you to return to me.

With hope in my heart that one day we will see.

That this forbidden love, although quite hard.

Was meant to shine in both our hearts.

It was the first time, and it wouldn’t be the last that I stood in front of an audience. I was about 5 years old, stood in front of my mum, dad and grandparents and I had created a short play based on one of my favourite fairytales at the time, which I was now about to perform for them. All these years later nothing has changed, well apart from the audience size, I am still performing, and im also writing my own stories, poems and plays. I love bringing joy to others through the arts and I truly hope and believe that will never change.
